November Writing & December Preview

I'm loving my November centers. The kiddos are liking them, too. Which is always a plus.

Here are two writing samples from my November Writing & Reading packet.

Yes, the secret ingredient is LOVE. lol

With some tweaks (definitely the time and temp) this could be good. Right?

And a preview of some Christmas crafts I've done (and will do again!) Click the picture to make it larger.

Hint...I kinda love gingerbread men....

This was my favorite bulletin board I've ever made!

The kiddos were so creative. I do show them an example and send a note home to talk about the different unique types of materials they can use. When they bring it back on Monday they do a quick show-and-tell and get a candy cane.

These smell cinnamony for years to come. Here is a link of one of the recipes I've used. It's trial and error sometimes.

I have a few my craftivities from last year that I'll be sharing between now and December. (Teachers have to plan in advance!!)

Mathvember 2.0

I tried posting this yesterday and the post worked but I was having such a problem on TpT with my preview. I deleted it and started from scratch so hopefully it's okay. For all the troubles, because it's Veteran's Day, and because Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away I'm having a sale today only.

Thanks to MelonHeadz and Digital BakeShop for the cool graphics!

I did it! I put my nose to the grindstone and got it finished.

Okay okay...so they were already started. So I had breakfast with friends, so I went to Target and bought more Scentos (2 new packs!) Point is....I finished them! I cannot wait to print these bad boys and laminate them so I can add them to my center boxes.

Here is what you'll get:

Download the preview to get the "Find the Number Word" activity for free

I'm also bundling this with my Reading/Writing November activities so if you get the bundle you'll save money.

Currently

Farley is a blogging Rock Star.  I swear every month I wait with anticipation, like the tooth fairy or Easter bunny are on their way, waiting for the Currently!

Listening--> Watching ANTM...okay...Kristin is very pretty....but only on the outside.

Loving-->Teaching about the election. In first grade you get to be one of the first people to expose them to so many things. They're pretty much a blank slate. Love it! I have a committee meeting ALL day on Monday so we talked about it a little bit on Friday but I have some fun stuff lined up for Tuesday!

Thinking-->Speaking of election, lol. I think I'm going to put on 'day pants' (I'm totally in comfy yoga pants right now) and go to my early vote location.

Wanting-->A laundry fairy....know one?

Needing-->There are just a few things I'm not happy with. So, I acknowledge I shouldn't complain about them, I should change them.

Music-->Last month was Kidz Bop Halloween. I am loving this linky because other than seasonal music I play classical music on Pandora during quiet time or writing time. I'd like to see what others use.

Also, please check out, pin, download the preview (with a sorting/venn diagram/anchor chart type freebie included) of my November reading and writing activities.

I used Picasa to create this scattered collage...kinda love it. Click to enlarge.
